La representación colombiana estará conformada por patinadores de las ligas de Bogotá, Cesar, Sucre, Santander, Bolívar y Casanare, quienes competirán en las categorías juvenil A y juvenil B:

Alberto Herrera Ayala, presidente de la Federación Colombiana de Patinaje, destacó la importancia de dar continuidad al proceso del patinaje artístico sobre hielo en el país:

“Es un esfuerzo conjunto que nos permite realizar este segundo certamen nacional. Debo agradecer a Adriana Pachón, quien dirige esta delegación colombiana, por su empeño y compromiso con esta labor. También extendemos nuestro agradecimiento a la Federación Mexicana de Patinaje sobre Hielo y Deportes de Invierno, por permitirnos participar en un evento avalado por la ISU – Unión Internacional de Patinaje sobre Hielo”, señaló.

El presidente Herrera Ayala también resaltó la vinculación de deportistas colombianas radicadas en el exterior, quienes hacen parte de este proceso deportivo.

“Es importante destacar cómo se suman a este proceso deportistas que viven en otros países, pero que se encuentran federadas con nosotros. Es el caso de Emilia Llinás, radicada en Boston, Estados Unidos; Isabella Beltrán, quien vive en Ciudad de México, y Macarena Ortiz, en Mérida, México. También tenemos a Aaliyah Medina, deportista que viajó desde Australia y se está vinculando a la Liga de Sucre; sin embargo, al no alcanzar a legalizar su permiso con la federación de ese país, no podrá participar en nuestro nacional”, agregó.

Este evento de figure skating, en el que participarán diez patinadores colombianos, se celebrará del 18 al 24 de mayo y reunirá además a más de 400 atletas mexicanos de diferentes categorías, desde niveles básicos hasta competencias de alto rendimiento.

El certamen contará con la participación especial del olímpico Donovan Carrillo, quien recientemente representó a México en los Juegos Olímpicos de Invierno Milano-Cortina 2026 y en el Campeonato Mundial de Patinaje en Praga.

El certamen se disputará en las categorías menores, childrens, pre-teens, teens y young adults.

El presidente de la Federación Colombiana de Patinaje, Alberto Herrera Ayala, señaló: “Hemos recibido por parte de la Federación Nacional de Hielo de México el aval para la realización de este 2° Campeonato Nacional de Figure Skating, en el marco del Campeonato Nacional de México en Cancún. Esto nos permitirá contar con jueces internacionales de la ISU, la Federación Internacional de Patinaje Sobre Hielo”.

De acuerdo con la organización del campeonato, habrá un máximo de 25 cupos para el Nacional de Colombia. Además, la Fedepatín informó que, para sus deportistas afiliados, será requisito participar en este evento para continuar dentro del proceso hacia competencias como los Grand Prix, Challenger Series, Championships y los Juegos Olímpicos júnior y sénior de la temporada 2028-2030.
